Go on an unforgettable adventure in the Sahara desert, starting from Marrakech. This 2-day tour will take you through the spectacular landscapes of the High Atlas, the green valleys of southern Morocco, to the peaceful dunes of Erg Lihoudi, at the gates of the great desert. Bivouac under the stars, camel ride, UNESCO-listed kasbahs… a total immersion in authentic Morocco.

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi-N-Tichka – Drâa Valley – M’hamid – Erg Lihoudi Dunes
Departure at 8:00 am from your hotel in Marrakech towards the great Moroccan south. You will cross the High Atlas via the panoramic Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2,260 m), towards Ouarzazate, nicknamed the "gateway to the desert". Traditional lunch in Agdez, a village at the gates of the Drâa Valley. In the afternoon, you will take the old caravan route to reach M’hamid, the last village before the Saharan desert. In a 4x4, you will continue to the dunes of Erg Lihoudi, where a Saharan bivouac awaits you. Camel ride at sunset, traditional dinner and night in a comfortable tent, in the heart of the Moroccan desert.
NB: The Drâa Valley, irrigated by the Ouarzazate and Dadès wadis, feeds hundreds of hectares of palm groves. Its fortified pisé villages tell the story of a millennial Morocco, still alive and preserved.
Day 2: Erg Lihoudi Dunes – Aït Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
After a sunrise over the dunes, savor a breakfast at the camp then enjoy a walk in the desert, a moment of absolute calm. You then leave the Sahara through the Drâa Valley. At the end of the morning, visit the legendary Aït Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortified village is one of the most beautiful examples of earthen architecture in Southern Morocco. Lunch on site. In the afternoon, head to the Telouet kasbah, perched in the Ounila valley. This former residence of Pacha Glaoui offers a journey into the Morocco of the great desert lords. Return to Marrakech at the end of the day, via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass.
