Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Road of a Thousand Kasbahs – Dadès Gorges – High Atlas – Todra Gorges
Depart at 8:30 AM from your Ouarzazate hotel, the desert’s gateway. Begin with a visit to the Skoura Oasis and its famous Amridil Kasbah, a symbol of Berber architectural heritage. Continue through the Valley of Roses, renowned for its floral landscapes and rosewater production. Follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dadès Gorges, known as the Fig Valley. Enjoy lunch at a local riad, followed by a walk through the valley. Drive through spectacular High Atlas villages like M’Semrir, Aït Hani, and Tamtatouchte, arriving at the Todra Gorges by late afternoon. Dine and spend the night in a riad.
Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, take a walk through the majestic Todra Gorges, then visit Tinghir’s palm grove. Head toward the desert via the Tafilalet Valley to Erfoud, famous for its fossils. Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Merzouga’s golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a luxury desert camp.
Days 3 & 4: Desert Trekking – Wild Bivouac
After sunrise and breakfast, embark on a desert trek with a guide and camel drivers, exploring diverse landscapes: sandy ergs, rocky regs, arid plateaus, and hidden oases. Spend the night in a wild bivouac under the stars. On day 4, continue the camel trek with a nature lunch, returning to Merzouga’s luxury camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – N’Kob – Drâa Valley – Agdez
Leave Merzouga after breakfast, heading to Rissani, the historic Tafilalet capital. Cross Alnif and Tazarine to N’Kob, a charming fortified village, for lunch. In the afternoon, follow the ancient caravan route along the Drâa Valley’s palm groves, mud-brick villages, and kasbahs. Arrive in Agdez by late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Agdez – Tamnougalt Kasbah – Tizgui Waterfalls – Fint Oasis – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, visit the Tamnougalt kasbah, a historic mud-brick fortress by the Drâa Valley, offering insight into traditional life. Continue to the Tizgui Waterfalls, a refreshing oasis ideal for photos. Head to the Fint Oasis, a peaceful haven with palm groves and Berber villages, for a walk and lunch. In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou kasbah, a cinematic masterpiece. Return to Ouarzazate by evening, filled with vivid memories.
